Thanks again for everything, it is behind us and I cannot tell you what a load off that is, so thank you, thank you, thank you! I promise to always throw your name out there if I hear of someone wanting to buy or sell!

It was Thanksgiving week and we were on our way south. Approaching retirement, we thought we’d take a look at the real estate possibilities in Florida. Along the drive south we stopped to visit our friends the Eustis’, who had been bragging about the lovely location they call home, Keowee Key. Instantly, we were enamored by the natural beauty of the preserved woods and the winding roads within the gates of Keowee Key.
We never did make it to Florida that Thanksgiving. Instead, we met with Robert Mixon of Bob Hill Realty. I don’t know how we lucked out, but we could not have asked for a kinder or more patient agent. Robert listened carefully to our expectations of our future home and helped us make appropriate selections of houses to view. He was so attentive to our needs yet gave us ample space to explore all possibilities with each house we visited. It wasn’t a normal thanksgiving vacation looking at real estate all week, but more out of the ordinary we found an agent that was giving up his thanksgiving to accommodate us! That was definitely beyond the call of duty.
Robert Mixon did lead us to our dream home. It’s funny, I’m sure he knew it was perfect for us before we did. We will forever be grateful for his guidance through the negotiations, inspections and the closing of our Stillwater Bay home. Even though his work with us is done, he continues to stay in touch. We have relied on Robert’s knowledge of our community, neighboring counties and state affairs. We both are so pleased to have found a dear friend in our realtor.

Searching for a home in Keowee Key can be a lot of fun when you have the right REALTOR. If you are like us, transplants from the cold, snowy wilds of Syracuse, NY; having a qualified agent in whom you can trust while connected by means of phone and email is a blessing. We had searched Keowee Key in the past and had favorable contacts to work with, but this year we took a different tact. We researched several firms and interviewed personal references of a limited number of agents. We selected Robert Mixon of Bob Hill Realty to be our buyer’s representative. What a great choice that has been.
We picked out several homes on the internet that appealed to us and identified why they looked promising. From our list, Robert was asked to set an agenda for a whirlwind tour during our short visit. Robert stayed within our targeted guidelines for price and desired features. He helped identify positive and potentially negative items for us to consider at each home. He made adjustments when we asked to deviate from our schedule, and made arrangements for immediate follow-up calls when we narrowed our search. Most important to us, Robert understood our negotiating constraints and followed them to a tee.
Robert spent time as our surrogate with the home inspector, worked with our legal team to gather documents, and did the final walk-though prior to closing. He represented our interests when, unexpectedly, we were not able to attend the actual closing.
When we look back at the whole process we now realize how comfortable we were from start to finish. Having recently sold our own home, with all the attendant drama of a Shakespearean play, the purchase of our home in Keowee Key was simply a joy. Robert, thanks so much for all your help.

Knowing and observing Robert in the gym, we wanted our first Realtor to be someone we could trust and teach us about the housing process. The knowledge Robert gave us about real estate is what we liked best in working with him. Looking back on our transaction with Robert, his honesty stands out most in our minds. We would use and recommend Robert as our Realtor again!
